Located in Central Florida, one hour west of Orlando, Bear Wolf Ranch chickens are raised the Old-Fashioned way: in the pasture where they are free to chase bugs, scratch for seeds, and eat native grasses. Free to behave like real chickens.
Their foraging is supplemented with certified organic feed that is soy-free and uses field peas and fish meal as the source of protein. It also contains flax seed for omegas, kelp for minerals, and probiotics such as Lactobacillus acidophilus for their immune system. Our chickens are never fed antibiotics.
We offer both the conventional Cornish Cross hybrid that is commonly served in restaurants and the old-style heritage birds like our great-grandmothers used to raise in the backyard. We believe that preserving the old genetic diversity is important to the future of our food supply.
